Around the valley station

For those who are interested in technology, there is a show room. There you can get an insight into the dimensions of the cable car. You can see directly into the engine room and follow what is happening when the cable car is in operation by means of display tables.

Around the valley station there various walks and a large adventure playground with go-cart track and trampoline for the children.

barbara chapel

The chapel at the valley station of the Tiroler Zugspitzbahn is dedicated to St. Barbara of Nicomedia, patron saint of miners. The building has existed since 1926. At that time it was built as a transformer station for the Tyrolean cable car and the associated hotel. After being converted into a chapel, it was consecrated by Bishop Hermann Glettler in 2024 and is now a place of silence and devotion.
